| G12 Conference Fires Up 6000 Hearts for Christ |

It’s been a year of break for FCBC’s annual G12 conference last year. But this year, it returned in a yet bigger and better fashion to almost 6,000 participants present at the event – held between 12 and 14 March at The MAX Pavilion.

Attended by over 1,100 overseas delegates hailing from 24 nations around the world, plus our close to 5,000 FCBC members, all was gripped by the theme of this year’s conference – ‘Give Me The Multitudes!’.
Anchoring the conference was none other than our Senior Pastor Lawrence Khong, who opened the conference with a bang. Welcoming all and moving on to deliver doctrinal truths about winning nations upon the victories brought by the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, Senior Pastor Lawrence spoke deep into hearts, reminding all to return to the source of our salvation – Jesus. Also sharing his entertainment success with all the foreign visitors, everyone was treated to a special video presentation of the exciting MAGICBOX show highlights and its telecasted Chingay participation early this year.
Sharing the stage to teach the Word across the three-day conference were also the two other key plenary speakers of the event, Pastor Cesar Castellanos, Founder of the international G12 vision, and his wife, Pastor Claudia, who is also a Senator in Columbia. Three of their four daughters – Lorena, Maneula and Sarah, were also with them this time round. Together, they displayed God’s glory as a family, blessing the congregation with their individual talents:
While Pastor Cesar and Pastor Claudia challenged, inspired and imparted to all the bold spirit of changing themselves and pursuing their dreams for the Lord. Their daughters also led the congregation in spontaeneous praise and worship, and shared an inspiring message about finding our life purpose in Christ. Hearts were enthused and inspired by this amazing family, both parents and their children, who are each serving God in their own ways like no other.
Likewise embracing the value of family togetherness in FCBC, Senior Pastor Nina also shared a divine word in season with the congregation, alongside Senior Pastor Lawrence. It was a powerful revelation where many a participant were challenged to receive a bold heart surgery from God to receive a new heart, spirit and life from Him that will touch the multitudes for Christ. Senior Pastor Lawrence and Nina’s youngest son, Daniel Khong, also led a session of his own, which is his second preaching at the conference since the first in 2007, where he spoke powerfully of biblical truths about finding one’s purpose in Christ, echoing the Castellanos’ daughter’s message. Everyone was deeply awed by the anointing and boldness with which the next generation speakers are rising up to challenge and inspire God’s people.
Of course, no conference will be complete without a stirring time of high praise and deep worship with the Lord. And this task was performed by the one of the world’s most successful Christian band, Delirious?, to the delight of many delegates. Many flocked to the conference to experience a time of worship with the band, besides receiving the powerful messages at the Conference, and they were not disappointed. With their refreshing performances peppering throughout the conference days, including their classics like ‘History Maker’, ‘I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever’ to their latest album songs like ‘My Soul Sings’, delegates were led into the presence of Lord again and again to seek Him in person, besides the Word up to the last night of the conference.
With the close of the conference, some of them also attended the two-day Men and Women Encounters on 16 and 17 March to receive more in-depth teachings, and experience a deep and intimate encounter with the Lord. On the same two days, Senior Pastors of the various churches in Singapore and other nations also gathered for the first-ever Asia Strategic Meeting led by Senior Pastor Lawrence.
Conference Experiences...
Pastor Freddie Siapno, Jubilee Christian Fellowship (United Kingdom), First time G12 conference participant
"It was very refreshing and enlightening. I’ve been strengthened when I heard the preaching. The message that spoke to me is regarding the Cross, that all the resources that we need for victory has all been provided through the Cross. I need to go deep into that… I look forward to embracing Pastor Cesar Castellanos, to receive his impartation."
Karen Lim, 37, Bread of Life Christian Church (Shilin, Taiwan), First time G12 conference participant
"Before we came, our pastor encouraged us to come expecting revelations, anointing, visions, strength, and release from our bondages. So I came with this heart of expectation. Pastor Cesar’s message, ‘If I change, everything will change’, spoke to my heart - that transformation starts from us, and about dying to our flesh. Pastor Khong also said that God does not care about what we do, but He cares about who we are – so ministry is not about the methodologies, but about the person. I’ve received anointing and strength in this area. And I’ve also received a lot from this conference… I really thank FCBC for all the hospitality they’ve shown to us – from offering their seats to us to their warm reception."
Ranay Divina, Doulos For Christ World Harvest Ministry (The Philippines)
"This conference has been a fulfillment of His faithfulness to me. I’m at this conference because I want to be in line with His plan and purpose in my life, especially now that I’m a missionary for Him. It has given me many insights and revelations, especially through Pastors Cesar and Claudia, and Pastor Lawrence Khong. Although I’m from The Philippines, I‘ll be going to Seoul, South Korea in July 2009. So this conference is preparing me for ministry work there and to take the G12 Vision to minister to them. My prayer before coming here is that I’ll hear from Pastor Cesar, Pastor Claudia and Pastor Khong, and to have a heart for the nations and the multitudes in the area I’ll be serving in. I’ve been really blessed to be at this conference."
Lisa Liu, 37, Bread of Life Christian Church (Shilin, Taiwan), Second time G12 conference participant
"I came with an even greater expectation of the conference (compared to my first time here). And I’ve received the revelations of the Cross, wealth transfer and security, anointing and many other revelations... I thank God that I’ve already received many of these. I’ve also received His release... I also hope that the blessings and resources that FCBC receive from God in the area of ministry will also flow into our church in Taiwan that we may be empowered to serve God in a similar measure too… It’s a very good conference... (the) G12 conference is a very effective and powerful platform to evangelise and share the Gospel."
Mary Lam Siew Fong, Ong Swee Geok Network
"As I’m a fairly new (having been born again after the G12 Vision was implemented), I have yet to hear of the 4Ws (Welcome, Worship, Word and Works). Thus I find this move back to it (the 4Ws) beneficial as I find the School of Leaders doesn’t empower me adequately to lead a group... I believe in the vision, and I found the sessions had been very powerful – there was movement in the spiritual realm. Like what Pastor Cesar said, “If I change, everything will change”. It gives me the boldness to move forward ahead to better days... (I) think I’ll follow Senior Pastor Lawrence’s instructions and take it step by step. Now that there’s a leader to guide me, I believe I can make it as a leader as well."
Liew Kong Meng, YouthNet, (waiting to be enlisted to NS)
"It’s been quite interesting since God spoke to me on many issues. Delirious? ministered to me through their songs... “I like 'Paint The Town Red', along with 'Majesty (Here I Am)' and 'History Maker'... Pastor Cesar’s daughter’s message was also meaningful to me. It’s about resting in God’s purpose in your life."
Lily Chu, 38, Julie Seow Network
"Something that I see different about this year’s conference would be this aspect about bringing back some of the good things we had in the past. Like some of the processes we had, especially like the equipping of the leaders... For the new members who joined us after the G12 days in 2002, it’s something good for them; it’s good to hear that again, and putting it together with the G12 vision again... I think this is the beginning of a process... But we have to think with the pastors about how to they (the processes) can be brought down to the ground level, to be successfully to be implemented..."
