Pastor Richard Santiago's visit to Hong Kong

Pastor Ricardo Santiago visited Hong Kong from 21-23 August 2010 for a G12 Network Training Seminar attended by an average of 100 comprising mainly Pastors' family and their 12s. There were eight senior pastors and 10 other pastors from the network who were present.

He spoke on The Importance of Intimacy with God. He emphasized on the wine, more than the wineskin, the scriptures, the cross etc. Those are very touching lessons that he taught strongly from the Scripture. Many people made covenant to do devotional time before taking their daily food. Since we are all putting in the basics, we are becoming more like the Colombian church and model.

Pastor Santiago's life of discipline and dynamic living was an impact to those of us who hang around him. He was fun to be with, creative and an all-rounder.

Here are some excerpts from pastors who attended the network meeting with Pastor Ricardo:

• Pastor Lo Kim Fung shared that he was touched by the importance of the leader's relationship with God and was encouraged to faithfully implement the strategy. He said that Pastor Santiago was energetic and dynamic and his attitude inspired him.
• Pastor Laszlo Kincs shared that he was touched by the exposition of the word by Pastor Santiago who emphasized the wine rather than the wineskin.  This puts a new balanced perspective in him to learn as a leader.
• Pastor Mathew Lai received a clearer G12 vision from the biblical perspective. He also noted how great it would be when churches work together in unity and how important it is to network among churches. He is now more convicted about the vision and is going for it full-heartedly.
