Hongkong G12 Conference

Thank God for the last G12 Conference in Hong Kong on 22 to 26 November, 2005.
Many pastors and church members were greatly blessed in the Plenary and Encounter with God sessions. There were 563 delegates at the Plenary, 110 of them were from China. A majority of the delegates were church leaders and pastors. 278 people took part in the four Encounter Weekends in Mandarin and Cantonese. Nearly half of them were church workers from mainland China who are interested in applying G12 in their churches. Also, 110 pastors attended a Lunch Meeting during the Conference.

Before, many pastors felt that G12 is difficult to adopt in the Hong Kong church environment because it demands so many meetings and organization. They also felt that the homogeneity of separating men and women is contradictory to social reality. However, after Apostle Lawrence Khong’s passionate and inspirational sharing on the 12 values of G12 during the Plenary, many people have changed their previous wrong conceptions about G12.
I think Ps Lawrence’s sharing on principles rather than on methods was a very important decision.

The encounter weekends were very powerful. They touched many peoples’ lives and brought them deliverance physically and spiritually. G12 is also healthy for couples because it raised up the wives as mighty armies to assist their husbands.
Since our church adopted G12 fully, we have run 11 Encounter Weekends. In the last three years, we have sent out a G12 cell and established two churches in different districts. Our church worship services and cell group attendances have increased 35 percent within one year.
We are now following up two Hong Kong churches that show great interest in G12. And the mainland China pastors have issued a big cry for help too.
