G12 Network Hong Kong Report (March 2010 to February 2011)

During the past twelve months, the G12 network in Hong Kong has been formed. We have currently 7 churches that are firmly committed to follow the G12 vision – fully adopting the Colombian model. Two other churches have committed to follow the G12 vision but are still adapting the strategy. Out of the 7 committed churches, 4 are Filipino churches and they have all grown very well. Three of these churches have had the privilege of working with Pastor Oriel Ballano (National Coordinator of the Philippines G12 Network) for several years and they have all put in the basics and have now moved into the conquest stage. During the past 12 months, the Hong Kong network had benefited from the teachings by Pastor Oriel Ballano from the Philippines and Pastor Santiago from Colombia and are able to start putting the G12 basic structures together. Although there is a general skepticism towards the G12 vision among the pastors of the city, the churches that have committed to follow the strategy have all benefited this past year through learning HOW to do the vision.

Filipino G12 Churches in Hong Kong

The Resurrection Power Church Hong Kong (RPCCI HK), led by Pastora Jo-Anne Alvarez Bernales and her husband Santiago R. Bernales, entered the G12 vision in 2009 with fifty members. Under Pastor Oriel's coaching, they have put in the basics, the consolidation network and the PEPSOL equipping track. This past year, they have started conquering and have attained a membership of 500 by February 2011. We give glory to God for this amazing growth, considering that their target group is Filipino workers in Hong Kong which numbers less than 200,000. This is now ranked as one of the biggest Filipino churches in Hong Kong.

The Rivers of Living Water Church, led by Pastor Michael B. Magaling and his wife, is also a Filipino church. They have also been working with Pastor Oriel and have doubled from 35 to 70 members within the past 12 months. Mrs. Magaling is planning to select her 12 in the next few months and launch the church into a multiplying church.

The Christ Church in Hong Kong, led by Pastor Demy T. Santos and his wife, has recently moved to a larger venue due to growth. They started a church in 2001 with 8 members. Having entered the G12 vision for a few years, they have grown to 100 members this past year. Recently, they have designed a conquering plan and are looking forward to multiplying in the coming year.

The Messianic Christian Community Church, led by Pastor Laszlo Kincs and his wife Hermie, have recently put the G12 basics together and is ready to launch into the G12 strategy. They have also seen a 30% growth in the past year for both their Filipino and Chinese congregations.

Chinese G12 Churches in Hong Kong

The Dream Center Church, led by Pastors Matthew and Connie Lai, has only been planted in 2009 with 6 members under the spiritual covering of Bethesda Community Church Hong Kong. Ever since they have been invited to join the G12 network, their church has grown to 100 members in a few months. They have only just started to put in the basics and are planning to implement the PEPSOL equipping track. Located at the most populated area of Mongkok, this young church has a tremendous potential for growth and attracts the "yuppies" population to the Lord with great anointing.

The Bethesda Community Church led by Pastor Timothy and Deborah Wu has started in the vision since 2003 but they have only been able to put in the basics this last year. During this past 12 months, both Pastor Tim and Deborah have formed their 12 and have put in the basics in the cell groups. Although the overall number have grown steadily as in the past several years, the number of disciples birthed in the vision have jumped and the core group of the church have been strengthened by the strategy. A new congregation has been formed by outreaching elderly people in their 80's and 90's who resides at Cho Yiu Chuen. This project saw almost 80 seniors come to know the Lord during the past year. As for the main church, the 3x3 prayer strategy is supplemented by month-end conquests. These efforts have brought in large numbers of seekers as well as salvations. The outlook for the next year is to reach 288 disciples fully birthed within the vision; this should translate to an attendance of over 500 at the congregational level.

The Fuk Lam Church, led by Pastor Samuel Lai and his wife Hau Won, has made a strong come-back after suffering from a blow in 2009 when one of the deputy pastors left the church. Thanks to the healing hands of God, this mighty church that is well known in serving drug-addicts, prostitutes, the poor and needy in the city, have resurrected. During the past 12 months, Pastor Lai has selected his 12 men and is currently putting the basics into the cell structure. A major transition into the full G12 strategy is currently taking place and a strong spirit is rising in the church. The outlook for this church is to form a team of 12 women in the next few months to launch into multiplications.
